A tour through Amersfoort (30.7 km)

Towards the end of the thirteenth century, Amersfoort received a city wall. Unfortunately, little remains of this, but you can still admire the gates of a second wall today! Did you know that Dordrecht is on an island? The city is surrounded by the rivers Merwede, Hollands Diep, Dordtsche Kil and Oude Maas. Dordrecht has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages and is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. Perfect for cycling around Dordrecht! You start your cycling tour of approximately 2 hours through the atmospheric and old city center of Dordrecht, where you then cycle to the island. From there you can take the ferry to cycle to the Biesbosch. At De Biesbosch National Park you can enjoy the peace and quiet and beautiful nature. Eindhoven is number 5 of the top 10 largest cities in the Netherlands! The city is known for its innovative industry and design. Cycling in Eindhoven is very easy, because in the city and surroundings you will find beautiful cycling routes such as the Philips route. During this route you cycle past various historic Phillips locations. Be surprised by the industrial history and experience the past of this city of light. Maastricht is known for its historic city center, carnival and the Burgundian lifestyle. The center is located on the banks of the Maas River and is bursting with history! And that can be seen, because Maastricht still has many city walls, medieval churches and squares. The cycling route starts at Maastricht Station, an 8-minute bike ride from Bastion Hotel Maastricht. One of the most important sights in Zaandam is the Zaanse Schans. A historic village with characteristic wooden houses, windmills and museums that showcase Zaanse crafts and industry. Cycle along the dikes of the Zaanse Schans and make a short stop to see how clogs, cheese, soap and other products were made in the 18th and 19th centuries. Back in time over the John Frost Bridge (47 km)

Cycling is a popular way to explore the city and surroundings of Arnhem. The John Frost Bridge cycle route takes you via junctions to the most important and most beautiful sights of Arnhem within about 3 hours. Including, as the name suggests, the John Frost Bridge! This bridge is famous for the Battle of Arnhem in World War II . During this route you cycle past the central station, Sonsbeekpark and the Korenmarkt. Het Loo Palace was designed by the Dutch architect Jacob Roman and the French architect Daniel Marot. The palace is known for its symmetrical layout and Baroque style, with richly decorated facades and gardens. Very beautiful to cycle past and admire!
