The birds start singing again early in the morning, the first crocuses are blooming and the sun is slowly starting to shine more and more… March has arrived! But March is stirring its tail, isn't it? The weather can't spoil the fun, because there are plenty of fun indoor and outdoor events. Are you partying in a sold-out GelreDome this month or would you rather be surrounded by colorful flowers? Discover the Dutch museum treasures

From 31 March to 7 April it is National Museum Week! Anyone with a Museum card can enjoy more than 450 museums throughout the week. But this year they are doing it a little differently… the Museum card can be shared with someone else for 1 time. This way everyone can admire the countless museums. Many museums are accessible for free or at a discount during this week. On top of the special offer in the museums, there is of course an extra addition. Extra workshops, tours and tastings!

Among the flowers at Keukenhof

The Keukenhof in Lisse will be open again from March 23! Surround yourself among the colorful crocuses, daffodils and hyacinths during the most colorful day out in the Netherlands. Did you know that a total of about 7 million flower bulbs of no less than 800 different species are in bloom every year? That amounts to more than 32 hectares of flowers! Stroll along the paths along the endless bulb fields, enjoy various flower shows or discover the colorful surroundings on two wheels.

The classic Les Misérables returns

The legendary, but especially classic musical Les Misérables returns to the Netherlands! A poignant and timeless story where friendship, freedom and love come together. Now with a completely new decor and played by stars such as Freek Bartels, Vajèn van den Bosch and Milan van Waardenburg. Les Misérables will premiere in Koninklijk Theater Carré and will be shown in several major theaters in the Netherlands throughout the year. A musical you don't want to miss!

A lightened Apeldoorn

In March, the historic and green Apeldoorn will be transformed into a true light art festival. During the Royal Light Festival you can enjoy the lights as seven international works of art tell the story of the city. The theme of the first edition is: 'royal'. The light artworks are located in historical places where history has been written and made. The route is approximately three kilometers long and can be completed on foot or by bicycle.
