6x fun events in November 2023

How quickly does the time fly... it's already November! It's getting colder and wetter, but that shouldn't spoil the fun! There are plenty of fun events planned in November. From spectacular light shows to visiting St. Nicholas' house. We have listed 6 different events for you.

Celebrate Sint Maarten in Utrecht

Utrecht is the most famous Sint Maarten city in the Netherlands and this is celebrated here in a big way. In the week of November 4 to 11 there will be activities at various locations in the city. This includes city walks, lectures, concerts, performances and 'the parade above water'. You really can't miss the parade on November 10. Since the summer, light sculptures have been made throughout the city and are exhibited from 6 p.m. along a walking and sailing route. A special and magical experience!

Discover lifelike dinosaurs at Zooparc Overloon

The Dino Weeks have already started, but until November 19 you can still stand face to face with all kinds of dinosaurs! In addition to the dinosaurs, you can also visit the monkeys, cheetahs, lions and many more special animals that live in Zooparc. Want to play a game? Ask for the dinosaur bingo card at the entrance of the park. Cross off all the wild animals you encounter along the way and find out who will be the first to shout “Bingo!”.

Visit the largest documentary film festival in the world

Get ready for the largest documentary film festival in the world… the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA)! The festival where you can enjoy films, exhibitions, events, workshops, performances, interactive projects and discussions from November 8 to 19. Whether you are interested in social issues or personal stories; IDFA tells stories for everyone.

The luminous Eindhoven

Be enchanted during GLOW Eindhoven. A light art festival that turns the city of Eindhoven into a colorful spectacle every year. All light artworks are connected by a walking route of approximately 5 kilometers. The route starts at Eindhoven Central Station. It is a truly unique experience where art and technology come together.

Visit Biennale Brabant

Be amazed and see how the characteristic dome hall in Tilburg has been transformed into a unique, international art exhibition. More than 40 (inter)national artists show their collections. Think of art movements such as classical, modern, expressive and figurative. And all this in art forms such as painting, sculpture, glass and photo art!

Discover Nicholas' magical house

Every year in the Netherlands we have another gift-giving celebration called Sinterklaas. A typical Dutch holiday where people get together and exchange gifst with their loved ones, especially with the younger children. The children receive sacks of present from Sinterklaas and his helpers the Pieten. Have you always been curious about what Nicolaas's house and the guesthouse of the Pieten look like? Sinterklaas will be back in the country from November 19 and you can visit the house from November 20! Discover where Sinterklaas and the Pieten sleep, how the Kitchen Piet bakes the gingerbread nuts and where Sinterklaas and the Pieten change into their many colorful outfits.
