In the Tulip Picking Garden you can pick up to thirty tulips for €10 to display in a vase at home. The tulip picking garden is open from April 11 to May 6.

In these villages the hyacinths and crocuses bloom in March, and you can experience the early spring feeling! Noordwijkerhout is a cozy village located between Noordwijk and Lisse. This charming village in the west of the country has many vast fields full of hyacinths, crocuses, tulips and daffodils that give color to the Dutch landscape.

This northern region forms the largest contiguous flower bulb area in the Netherlands and offers numerous locations where you can see the colorful fields come to life every spring. From April 19 to 23, you can see flower-made mosaics, moving workpieces and streets and bridges decorated with flora.

Many beautiful walking and cycling routes meander through this flower area that can lead you past the colorful flower bulb fields. Especially between Den Helder, Julianadorp and Anna Paulowna you will find numerous marked routes where you can admire beautiful flower fields.

The villages where you have the best chance of admiring them are Nieuw-Namen, Clinge, Koewacht, Graauw, Lamswaarde and Absdale. You can walk to all the different fields to enjoy the colorful flora!
